The public record notes: The OSHA page is dated 30 August 2024. The rule is proposed. Heat-risk control normally involves engineering, administration, training, hydration/rest, and PPE measures.
Protection and comfort should not be framed as a binary choice. Materials, layering, pattern, work intensity, climate, and laundry rotation influence wear compliance together, but every trade-off needs site risk assessment and applicable requirements.
