GB 31420—2025 released: material compliance and protective performance need parallel checks

China's national standards platform lists GB 31420—2025 requirements for toxic, hazardous, and restricted substances in PPE. Material-compliance testing and flame, antistatic, or durability performance are different evidence dimensions and cannot substitute for each other.

The public record notes: The standard was published on 30 June 2025 and takes effect on 1 July 2026. Its listing indicates replacement of earlier PPE restricted-substance standards. Applicability and test items must be determined from product category and the effective text.

A supplier evidence pack should separate material chemical compliance, garment performance, labeling, and use limitations into distinct sections. That avoids reading one material declaration as a promise about all protective properties of a finished garment.
